This character is currently available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ In the very beginning, Finn Hudson’s life was one that started with a tragedy that ultimately left a scar on the family forever. When he was an infant, and perhaps he was therefore fortunately too young to remember, his father supposedly died an honorable death in the midst of a war. Or so that was what his mother told him, so Finn grew up worshiping a man who he thought to be a hero. All of his childhood, Finn had begged his mother to tell him tales of the man, and she did so happily. In fact, Carole, who was something of a friend as well as a mother, told him that she saw a great deal of Christopher in Finn. There was his compassionate and accepting nature, his relaxed lifestyle, the goofy grin and his ability to make everything seem fun. To be likened to a hero was the best thing that Finn could ever ask for but despite his admiration for his father, Finn always knew it was his mom who was the true savior. She was really cool, doing whatever it was that Finn wanted and being all around supportive of him. In fact, she didn’t even block her ears when Finn would sit down at his father’s drumkit and crash the sticks against the instrument, instead choosing to smile fondly as she shook her head. Finn didn’t want to just make the memory of his father proud. He wanted to make his mother proud to, so that was what he was going to spend his whole life doing.
↳ Finn always knew that if he wanted to make his parents proud, then he had to be something special. That was why Finn dedicated a great deal of his time to being good at everything other than school, since homework was something he found boring and he couldn’t quite wrap his head around a lot of his subjects. He didn’t need to because where being athletic was concerned, Finn was exceptional. That wasn’t to say that he could go off and run a marathon. In fact, he’d probably get too tired for that, but he thought he was a pretty decent football player. Plus, it turned out he could sing and play guitar, so he told himself that if he couldn’t become a professional football player, then his fallback career would obviously be that of a rock star. In spite of Finn knowing that he was quite good at football, the truth was that he underestimated his talent. That became apparent when he received a letter saying that he had been referred to Saint Vincent’s Academy by a leading trainer in Cincinnati. While Finn had a dorky grin on his face at the prospect, his mother was filled with delight and tears about having to say farewell to his son. Sure, she’d get to see him during the summer holidays, but life without him around would certainly be a challenge.
↳ Since starting at the Academy, where he was a member of Sirius House, everything had been a bumpy but awesome ride. He quickly became the star quarterback of the school who was extremely popular, loved by people of every house regardless of the feuding. He was one of the few students who was adored by everyone, forever being loyal to his cheer leader girlfriend from Achernar House. The school work isn’t quite so easy but he figured that he could do okay as long as he was tutored a lot, which kind of helped. But although his time at the Academy has been coming along wonderfully thus far, the summer before his senior year was a different story entirely. During the summer, it was then that his mother finally sat down and told him the truth about his father. The man hadn’t simply died at war. War had changed him and when he returned from it, he was a different man. Cold and distant, the man ended his life following a drug overdose, something that changed the way that Finn looked at the world. After mulling things over for weeks with Mike Chang, who had come to stay with him over the summer holidays, his friend helped him to see that his father was worthy of admiration and forgiveness if Finn was ready to give that. But in time to come, not everyone could be forgiven as easily as Finn chose to still respect his father. Unbeknownst to him, his girlfriend Quinn had visited his best friend Puck over the holidays and had ended up sleeping with him. Now the girl, is pregnant with a child that isn’t even Finn’s, the latter having no idea that the one he thought was the love of his life was pregnant and had cheated on him.
Mike Chang ✘ Senior ✘ Available
Meet Michael Robert Chang Jr., the seventeen year old boy from Detroit, Michigan who’s currently in his senior year at Saint Vincent’s Academy. He’s a part of Sirius House and applied for the school due to his family’s wealth. The kid might be single at the moment, but he also identifies as heterosexual. This character is currently available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ The only child of the extremely wealthy and impossibly intelligent Chang family, from the very moment he was born Mike had the weight of the world sitting atop his shoulders. It was almost like a family legacy, that every Chang must be breathtakingly smart and focus on academics above all else to be considered a true member of the family. Mike, like his ancestors, was therefore taught the importance of all things academic from a young age, being taught maths and science among other complex subjects as soon as he knew how to write. The family were a had working one, and it was of course expected that Mike would be the same. There was only half an hour of television per week, friendships and relationships were generally frowned upon unless they remained in school only, it was vital that he knew how to play the piano and he had to keep his fitness levels up. Mike certainly didn’t have a troublesome time in terms of impressing his parents, doing exactly what they told him when they told him to do it and often taking a great deal of initiative. His academic skills wildly impressed his teachers from a young age and it was a wonder that Mike had never been moved up a year in school.
↳ Since it was understood that Mike would one day be faced with a great deal of stress, his father felt it mandatory to lighten his load so that his son didn’t explode. But “free time” was considered taking part in an extracurricular activity chosen by his father, and the man decided that dancing would do wonders for his stamina. At first, Mike hated the idea of doing dancing. It didn’t seem very him at all, so he was sure he’d actually rather be shut up in his room doing work. But it turned out to be quite the opposite. When it came down to it, Mike was extremely talented, a dancer whose skills could keep people smiling from one ear to the other. Working tirelessly hard to expand upon his skills, Mike rapidly discovered that dancing was his favorite part of his week and his study breaks often involved nurturing his talent. His father was impressed, not understanding that dancing was Mike’s passion, with Mike not being willing to admit it in fear he wouldn’t be allowed to continue. His son was dedicated and fit, everything a Chang should be, and he saw that should be rewarded. He did that by sending in a shockingly large amount of money to Saint Vincent’s Academy, where the staff were all too happy to welcome him into Sirius House.
↳ Although Mike certainly was able to fit in well at the school and was generally happy with where he was, taking part in a strand of difficult subjects as well as dance, the past summer had been less than thrilling for him. Rather than enjoying his time like most would, Mike saw no problem in finally opening up to his father that he didn’t want to be a doctor or a scientist. He wanted to be a dancer, maybe even a choreographer, more than anything else in the world. Everything fell apart after that, with the man being far from amused at the news. He shouted, told his son what a disappointment he was and in the end chose to disown Mike. Shattered beyond belief and banned from contacting his mother to beg her to stay, Mike had no choice but to move in with a fellow member of the football team, Finn Hudson. Mike spent the rest of the summer there until it was time for them to return to the Academy, but it wasn’t a holiday he enjoyed. Instead, Mike spent the time focusing on academics and doing everything he could to ignore his burning desire to dance, wanting to somehow figure out how to win back the respect of the man who had once seemed so supportive.
Kurt Hummel ✘ Senior ✘ Available
Meet Kurt Elijah Hummel, the seventeen year old boy from Lima, Ohio who’s currently in his senior year at Saint Vincent’s Academy. He’s a part of Eltanin House and applied for the school due to his admiration for the arts. The kid might be single at the moment, but he also identifies as homosexual. This character is currently available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ For all the people in the world, you were bound to stumble upon at least one who was so remarkably special and so insanely talented at some point in your life. Kurt Hummel, the loving child of Burt and Elizabeth, grew up in Lima knowing that he was better suited for everything other than the humdrum town. His mother had the most incredible impact on his life, sharing with him her talent as a singer and admiration for fashion so that he adopted her craving for Broadway and skill at the sewing machine. His father, a man protective and loyal to all he deemed his friends, passed on those attributes to his son, with the influence of his parents turning him into someone that certainly stood out in a crowd. They were a happy family, one who never imagined that the euphoria they experienced together could ever be ruined. And when everything about the Hummel lifestyle was crushed, none of them wanted to believe it. Nobody wanted to receive the dreaded call in the middle of the night, but that was exactly what Burt and Kurt woke up to, finding out that his mother had been involved in a fatal car accident. It was a shock to the entire family and life after that would never been the same again.
↳ There were countless times when Kurt wished more than anything else in the world that his mother was still around. He missed the woman with all of his heart and he knew his father did too, but Kurt felt that his school life would have been a great deal easier if she was still there. It was rather common knowledge that Kurt was gay, something that many people concluded based on the way he talked and the clothes he wore, so Kurt had to deal with the people in his tiny town picking on him as much as they could. At the same time, he became desperate to show that nothing anybody said could bring him down, so he boldly came out as gay during his freshman year, resulting in the bullying getting far worse. It certainly took its toll on Kurt, especially since his father despite being extremely supportive was not overly fond of the idea that his only son was gay, but when Kurt admitted to being bullied, it brought him and his father a great deal closer together. Burt taught Kurt to stand up for himself and to not care about what those people said, because at the end of the day, Kurt was the one who would be successful. It was also Burt who, as well as being severely worried for his son’s safety, told him to kick all the bullies in the backside and show them that he was better than them by trying out for a greater school. Kurt did just that, thrilled and touched by his father’s warmth, and with a score of 99% earned himself a place at Saint Vincent’s Academy in Eltanin House.
↳ Not everything about being accepted into Saint Vincent’s Academy was a highlight. His lifelong best friend, Rachel Berry, who shared the same dreams of Broadway with him was sorted into Achernar House for the talented, the place where Kurt had desperately wanted to be, with the only aspect stopping him being his high grades. The girl, believing that meant she had a superior talent to him, ended up being too boastful for Kurt to handle. They certainly had no difficulty in upholding their house rivalry, with Kurt growing to dislike Rachel immensely and the latter finding him insufferable. But where Rachel was often wide-birthed by her peers who saw her as obnoxious, Kurt on the other hand was generally well received. His talent was respected, those in need of tutoring often came to him, he offered a shoulder for those struggling with their sexuality and he became a respected student among peers and teachers alike. In the end, Kurt found that he couldn’t complain about being sorted into a house he initially had no desire to be in, taking solace in the friendly nature of his peers. He didn’t need Rachel, and he knew he was making his mother proud. The only thing that bothered Kurt now was that he was a senior and he had sadly, tragically, never even been kissed.
Artie Abrams ✘ Junior ✘ Available
Meet Arthur Thomas Abrams, the sixteen year old boy from Boston, Massachusetts who’s currently in his junior year at Saint Vincent’s Academy. He’s a part of Sirius House who never even applied for the school to begin with. The kid might be single at the moment, but he also identifies as heterosexual. This character is currently available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ When Artie was just eight years old, his whole life came crashing down upon him. Perhaps it sounded unrealistic, that a boy so young could have such a finite statement about him, but with his dreams of being a dancer in mind, it was entirely plausible that he would say that. He had loved to dance from a tender age since he first heard Michael Jackson on the radio, thereafter busting out moves whenever a worthy song came on. It entertained his parents greatly, who recognized his talents and signed him up instantly to participate in classes. What a cruel twist of fate it was that the accident happened when he was on the way back home from dancing and a car came speeding around the corner, choosing to ignore the red traffic signal. Although his mother seemed remarkably unharmed by the accident, it was a completely different story for Artie who blacked out immediately. When he awoke weeks later from a coma, it was to the discovery that he was paraplegic and would have to spend the rest of his life relying on a wheelchair. But Artie, refusing to believe the truth of the matter, continued to believe that he was incapable of becoming a dancer. He continued to show his talent with only the upper class of his body and although he was introduced to singing, rapping, guitar playing and encouraged to do well in school, none of those became his passion.
↳ To be quite frank, Artie had pictured himself as the popular guy in school. He imagined joining the football team as a quarterback and being the type of guy that every girl sought after. But that was just another aspect of life that the wheelchair got in the way of, as the football trainer at the school was unwilling to accept him, along with every other sporting team. To make matters worse, Artie was viewed as the nerdy kid in school, the kind who had a position all the way down on the bottom of the social ladder. Although Artie had a few close friends and performed well in school, he was nothing close to being popular and to accompany that, he felt as though he didn’t belong. So Artie did everything that he could to keep himself distracted and one of the ways he did that was by messing around with a camera. In that regard, Artie had a lot of fun. He could make every angle of the camera look impressive and had a blast creating short films that he kept to himself, never really thinking that it was something he could go anywhere with. It was all just fun and games to him and he still firmly believed that he would make it as a dancer. Little did he know, it was his talent with the camera that would one day work wonders for him.
↳ Partway through his freshman year, Artie uploaded one of his short films onto YouTube without expecting too many viewers. Although there weren’t all that many who watched it, fortunately, it was one person that saw the video that changed his life. The video was shown to several teachers at Saint Vincent Academy and they looked upon it with great delight, feeling as though they needed a student that remarkable in the school. They contacted Artie via e-mail and phone call, much to the surprise of Artie and his parents, who had never thought they would be lucky enough to have a family member attend the school. According to the e-mail and phone call, an extra class that specialized in film had been added and they were eager to have him as a student there, thus giving Artie a scholarship of sorts. It was an offer that Artie couldn’t refuse and he was placed into Sirius House on the basis that it was the one with the most personality so he could have greater fun with in terms of filming. Thus, Artie had been a the school since the middle of his freshman year, and even though he’s still not popular and hasn’t even kissed a girl, the school was slowly helping him to move on from his dreams as a dancer and piqued up his interest in working as a director. For the past few years, Artie has even filmed several videos for the school and is a name known to many, despite not being on the top of the social pyramid.
Sam Evans ✘ Junior ✘ Unavailable
Meet Samuel Dwight Evans, the sixteen year old boy from Nashville, Tennessee who’s currently in his junior year at Saint Vincent’s Academy. He’s a part of Achernar House and applied for the school due to his admiration for the arts. The kid might be single at the moment, but he also identifies as heterosexual. This character is no longer available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ A boy from a modest and kind family, it would seem to some that Sam Evans would have a perfect life up until his dying day. Such was the case in the beginning of his life, when Sam had a perfect house to roam through, waving about light sabers and quoting all kinds of movies that he loved to watch. It was enjoyable for him and his parents found it fascinating to watch the ear-to-ear grin on the face of his son, never imagining that his happiness would one day diminish. However, when it became apparent that Sam was dyslexic and would have to struggle with that, life became a great challenge. Everything as simple as reading, writing and spelling was an enormous task for the young boy, so his parents introduced him to various ways around that. Comic books and guitar became his specialty, but his greatest talent of them all? Art. Sam could sit for hours drawing and painting, his skills less than average at first, but eventually the images he created became something marvelous, something that would one day come to earn him the title of an artist. But it was a talent Sam kept to himself, not even showing his parents, because he feared people would find the skill too unimportant.
↳ When growing up, Sam became somebody who was quite chubby. In fact, he was quite the typical dorky kid and people at his school found it necessary to make fun of him because of that. The laughed at him, calling him names like “whale” despite not being too much overweight, told him that his glasses made him looked old and were horrid about his dyslexia, believing him to be stupid. Sam desperately tried to ignore the words, but it all took its toll on him until he became uncomfortable being in his own body. Eventually, Sam worked as hard as he could to change his appearance, truly working hard to slim down and become somebody attractive. As soon as he had abs, he dyed his hair blond and ditched the glasses, thus becoming someone that girls desired. Regardless of his good looks, Sam never stopped being uncomfortable. He craved popularity, but not in the sense that he was mean and thought of himself as better than everyone else. He just wanted to feel like he wasn’t a nobody and that he actually had a good place in the world. Being in Tennessee with all of the bad memories didn’t help, so he found himself wanting to be some place else.
↳ If he was being honest, Sam was nervous to approach his parents with the idea of moving schools. He had two far younger siblings who looked up to him and would want to experience school life with him around, but there was also a great deal of importance in his happiness and confidence. So he asked his parents if he could move schools, and initially they turned him down. That was until his Birthday, when they declared that he would be auditioning for none other than Saint Vincent’s Academy. The examination didn’t go over well and he almost didn’t get a place in the school because of that, but as soon as he showed off his art and guitar skills in his audition, he was compared to the likes of many great artists and his guitar skills were put side by side with that of Eric Clapton’s. It made Sam feel kind of like a king of music if he was being honest, and it was super cool that he would actually be living in L.A and going to school there. The only problem was, he was still nervous and really wanted to be popular, but what if people didn’t like his impressions and he was just going to crash and burn?
Blaine Anderson ✘ Junior ✘ Unavailable
Meet Blaine Devon Anderson, the sixteen year old boy from Westerville, Ohio who’s currently in his junior year at Saint Vincent’s Academy. He’s a part of Eltanin House and applied for the school due to his admiration for the arts. The kid might be single at the moment, but he also identifies as homosexual despite being closeted. This character is no longer available for auditions.
Everything You Need To Know
↳ Born into the wealthy Anderson family, Blaine was destined for a life of success. His parents, Jennifer and Mark, treated him with nothing but kindness and love, preaching to him the importance of being a well mannered as well as respectable individual. But despite how close he was with his parents, the situation with his brother Cooper was an entirely different story. The boy, who was several years older than him, was unbelievably arrogant and believed himself to be a superior to Blaine. That resulted in Blaine never being able to follow in his brother’s footsteps with a passion for acting, since Cooper would hear no word of Blaine wanting to be the same as him. As such, Blaine had to find his own dream in life, and so he chose the pathway of a musician. A self taught acoustic guitarist and singer, the youngest Anderson envisioned himself one day going on to become a music teacher.
↳ If you asked Blaine when he discovered that he was gay, he wouldn’t have been able to tell you. It was almost as though his sexuality was always there, something that had never been a bother to him. He couldn’t place the day or year when his eyes started lingering on other boys, or when he had the burning desire to hold their hands without actually fulfilling that need and he certainly hadn’t been shocked when he found himself wanting to kiss one. To him, it didn’t seem like an issue. In school, people weren’t taught that there were some people who frowned upon homosexuality, so when Blaine came out as gay when he was just thirteen years old, he didn’t expect the consequences to be quite so severe. It started with mere teasing that confused him, biting remarks that chased him through the hallways. The words he could shake off, believing that it would die down sooner rather than later. But the bullying haunted him during high school, gradually getting more and more violent until Blaine was beaten up by his peers at the end of his freshman year. He became terrified of going to school and when his parents asked and asked why he kept on coming home with bruises, he finally told them the truth. His mother hugged him, promising to love him no matter what, but Blaine could tell his father was disappointed. The man became awkward after that, trying to get Blaine involved in “straight” activities but to no avail. Blaine’s mother was his saving grace, deciding that once the year was over, he would be sent to a new school, far away from those who had tormented him.
↳ During the summer between his freshman and sophomore year, Blaine’s mother came to him with an idea. Although they were looking into sending him into a school close by that had a zero-tolerance, no bullying policy, they gave him the chance to complete the auditioning and examination process for Saint Vincent’s Academy. Like many others, Blaine had wondered what life was like at the school, and didn’t pass up the opportunity. He had hoped, to be honest, that he would be welcomed with arms wide open into Achernar House for the talented, but that wasn’t quite the case. When Blaine finished the examination, he pulled out a high mark of 93%, guaranteeing him a spot in Eltanin House instead. Now that he’s been there for a year, Blaine’s found that he actually likes being there. He’s found himself some great friends who he works hard with, and he still gets to be involved in the arts. This year, he’s going to work hard on helping Eltanin House to win the end of year reward. And maybe, since he’s tested the waters at the school for a year, just maybe he’ll come out as soon as he can.
